In een zonovergoten Delft speelden de Espoirs van Rugbyclub Hoek van Holland misschien wel de belangrijkste wedstrijd van dit toch al succesvolle seizoen: het promotie- degradatieduel tegen RC Delft. Het publiek dat in groten getale aanwezig was kreeg een spannende wedstrijd te zien. De Espoirs kwamen na een kwartier spelen nog op voorsprong maar daarna was het de beurt aan Delft. Met een achterstand van 11-7 ging het team van coach Shereza Pool de rust in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De 2e helft begon voor de Espoirs al niet veel beter, een try voor Delft en 2 gele kaarten voor de Hookers. De Espoirs moesten er keihard voor knokken maar kregen uiteindelijk wat ze verdienden: promotie naar de 2e klasse. Eindstand 16-26 en het feest kan beginnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
