Rugbyclub Hoek van Holland breidt de rugbysport uit naar het Westland. Kinderen kunnen de sport laagdrempelig uitproberen met vier gratis rugby clinics op het Sportpark De Hoge Bomen in Naaldwijk.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rugby is de snelst groeiende sport in Nederland, volgens de club. \u201cGezien de opkomst van de sport en de groei bij onze vereniging zien we mogelijkheden om een nieuwe rugbyclub op te richten in het Westland.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voor iedereen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dat de sport zo snel groeit, is niet verwonderlijk, betoogt de club verder: \u201cRugby is voor iedereen, zowel voor jongens als meisjes. Rugby speel je samen. Je kunt niet zonder elkaar. Ben je snel en beweeglijk, klein maar behendig of juist sterk en zwaar, er is plek voor iedereen.\u201d Andere pluspunten: \u201cRugby is een echte teamsport. Je speelt met elkaar en kunt niet zonder elkaar. Niet in het veld en ook niet daarbuiten.\u201d En, alsof dat nog niet genoeg is: \u201cVele rugbyspelers hebben hechte vriendschappen voor het leven met hun teamgenoten.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Op vier vrijdagmiddagen vanaf volgende week kunnen kinderen de sport zelf ervaren. Op 17 mei vindt de eerste rugby clinic plaats. Vervolgens op 24 mei, 7 juni en 14 juni. \u201cDe onderbreking 31 mei komt doordat we dan Nederlands grootste jeugd beachtoernooi organiseren.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De rugby clinics zijn gratis en worden mogelijk gemaakt door vv Naaldwijk, de Gemeente Westland en Vitis Welzijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
