Steve is als community rugby manager verbonden aan het management team van de Worcester Warriors. De Worcester Warriors spelen in de Aviva Premiership. Hierin spelen de beste clubs uit Engeland.<br \/>\nDe training werd gehouden op het veld van onze clusterpartner WRCH. Dankzij onze coach Guus kregen de junioren de kans om een training te volgen van deze routinier.<br \/>\nDe training leek simpel maar was goed opgebouwd. Er werd begonnen met een spelletje touch rugby. Al snel slaagde Steve erin dit spel op te bouwen naar een onderlinge wedstrijd waar het er soms hard aan toe ging. Het spel werd regelmatig stil gelegd voor een kleine oefening, een kort maar krachtige uitleg wat er verwacht werd en daarna snel aan de slag om de opdrachten uit te voeren.<br \/>\nHet was goed te zien dat de training een groot succes werd door een tomeloze inzet van de junioren. Het zal zeker ook gelegen hebben aan de wijze van training geven door Steve. Er werd uitsluitend positief gecoacht en dit had effect. Steve \u2018zat\u2019 snel in de groep en werd er goed naar hem geluisterd ondanks een zwaar accent van hem. Wellicht dat de spelers daarom zo aandachtig luisterden.<br \/>\nAan het einde van de training vertelde Steve dat hij positief verrast was door de inzet en kwaliteit van de spelers. Altijd leuk om dit te horen.<br \/>\nGezien de enthousiaste reacties van de spelers hebben we aan Steve gevraagd of hij wellicht volgend jaar ook The Hookers aan zou willen doen voor een gasttraining.
